Chosen by the magazine's editors based on extensive surveys of the industry, members of the Shortlist represent the cream of the current crop of in-house lawyers. The magazine has a knack for picking winners: five members of its first Shortlist, published in 2002, have since been appointed as general counsel at a Fortune 500 company and three have significantly expanded their responsibilities. The list, with profiles of its ten selections, will be published in the magazine's April issue and will be available online at www.corpcounsel.com.
