QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced it has signed non-binding memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with wireless service provider ALLTEL and Korean device manufacturer Telson Electronics. These companies join an impressive list of carriers, handset manufacturers and applications developers that have signed such MOUs indicating interest in QUALCOMM's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless(TM) (BREW(TM)) applications platform.

QUALCOMM will release the Windows(R)-based SDK to those attending the "BREW 2001: Developer and 3G Technology Conference," May 8-10, 2001, in San Diego. BREW 2001 is now in "sold out" status and QUALCOMM is unable to accept any more registrations.
