, the band Third Day and Habitat for Humanity's Joyce Watkins King presented Virgo Foster and her 7-year-old son with a check for $48,000 during the annual House Party Christian Music Christian music is music that is written to express either personal or a communal belief regarding the Christian life, as well as (in terms of contemporary music) to give a Christian alternative to main stream secular music.  Festival this past Sunday, September 7. The donation represented show proceeds and will fund and entire Habitat house for Foster and her son. Construction on the house is set to begin in November and will be built in the Southeast Raleigh area. This is the fourth year ALLTEL Pavilion and the House Party Christian Rock Christian rock (occasionally abbreviated CR) is a form of rock music played by bands whose members are Christian and who often focus the lyrics on matters concerned with the Christian faith. The extent to which their lyrics are explicitly Christian varies between bands.  Festival have presented an entire house to Habitat, enabling the organization to further its vision of seeing every family in a healthy home, in a peaceful neighborhood, in a sustainable, diverse, tolerant and vibrant community.

The day-long festival featured Third Day, Nicole C. Mullen, Sixpence None the Richer Sixpence None the Richer was a Grammy-nominated Christian band that played pop/rock with roots in New Braunfels, Texas, eventually settling in Nashville, Tennessee. The name of the band is inspired by a passage in writer C. S. Lewis's Mere Christianity. , Chris Rice, Rachel Lampa, Paul Coleman Trio, Needtobreathe and Sarah Kelly Sarah Kelly is a contemporary Christian artist from Rockford, Illinois. She is signed to Gotee Records, a Christian label under EMI. In December 2006, Kelly's second release for Gotee, Where The Past Meets Today . Nearly 12,000 Christian music fans attended the show and cheered loudly when headliners Third Day appeared on stage during the check presentation. Habitat extends an opportunity for music fans to get involved in building the house, since all of the homes are built with volunteer labor and love. No prior building experience is necessary. Individuals (16 and older) and groups come out every week to give their time, working side-by-side with other volunteers and the future homeowners.
