 defender who is quick to pounce off the opposition with her speed and create a scoring chance, the 5-foot-3, 115-pounder was considered a small attacker in the hole/set (two-meter) position, but that didn't keep her from beating larger opponents.

She led the Chargers with 76 steals, 87 assists and 45 drawn ejections while finishing second in scoring with 87 goals.

The Southern Section Div. II co-player of the year -- along with Santa Barbara's Kelly Easterday -- Flacks often prompted teams to modify their game plan to try to shut down her down.

JILLIAN WALDRON

Agoura, senior, driver

An integral part of Agoura's offense, Waldron helped create scoring chances with her precision passing. The All-CIF Div. II second-team selection and Marmonte League first-team honoree finished with 48 goals, 40 assists, 43 steals and drew 32 ejections.

The All-CIF Div. II first-team selection often drew double- and triple- teams, creating chances for her teammates. Still, Delgado was a dominant force.

CARLY CLARK

Agoura, senior, 2-meter

The Marmonte League co-MVP and All-CIF Div. II first team selection scored a team-leading 107 goals. The UC Santa Barbara-bound talent often used her precision to put passes and shots out of the defender's reach, striking when the opposition least expected it.

NADIA DAN

Harvard-Westlake, junior, driver

A prolific scorer, Dan often dominated throughout the pool, scoring 107 goals and causing opposing coaches to scramble toadjust game plans. She finished with 20 assists and 76 steals while leading the Wolverines to the Div. IV semis.

SARA Sara or Sarah, in the Bible, wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac. With Rebekah, Rachel, and Leah, she was one of the four Hebrew matriarchs. Her name was originally Sarai [Heb.,=princess].  GRALITZER

Agoura, senior, goalkeeper

Considered the best goalkeeper in the school's history, she finished with a CIF (1) (Common Intermediate Format) A standard video format used in videoconferencing. CIF formats are defined by their resolution, and standards both above and below the original resolution have been established. The original CIF is also known as Full CIF (FCIF).  season-record 405 saves. The Hawaii-bound All-CIF Div. II first-team selection and Marmonte League Goalkeeper of the Year also contributed to the attack with 18 assists and 44 steals.

WENDY PEREZ

Harvard-Westlake, freshman, hole/set

A first team All-CIF Div. IV selection, she complemented Nadia Dan's attack with her agility and speed. The Perez/Dan combination was a threat in the Mission League, withPerez scoring 66 goals and raking in 25 assists.

MARIA APABLASA

Louisville, senior, 2-meter

The Mission League MVP and All-CIF second-team selection was a scoring machine, recording 83 goals and 57 assists, a school single-season record. The four-year varsity player finished her high school career with 139 goals and school-record 153 assists.

BOBBY ZIROVICH

Glendale

The Nitros' second-year coach helped put together a team that reached the Div. IV semifinals for the first time. Glendale upset La Salle La Salle, city (1990 pop. 9,717), La Salle co., N Ill., on the Illinois River; settled 1830, inc. 1852. It forms a tricity unit with Peru and Oglesby. Corn, wheat, and soybeans are grown, and cattle and hogs are raised.  of Pasadena and Rio Mesa of Oxnard on its way to the semifinals after getting into the playoffs as the No. 3 team out of the Pacific League. "This is a testament of the talent these girls have," Zirovich said. "The girls do all the work. They made (me) look good."

JULIANA BOTTING

Louisville, freshman, 2-meter

A versatile player, she broke the school's freshman scoring record, sending 45 goals into the net. Her record-breaking season didn't end there. She dished dished
