Holiday was the key player on one of the area's most accomplished all- time teams, helping the Vikings to a second state title in Holiday's three- year career.

Most of Campbell Hall's 33 victories were one-sided because few opponents could keep pace with the Vikings' up-tempo offense, as Campbell Hall recorded 27 victories by 15 points or more. But when there were close calls against high-powered programs -- such as a 73-71 nonleague victory over Taft of Woodland Hills and a 62-59 victory over Horizon of San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. He scored 26 points with seven assists against Taft, and 24 points with 20 rebounds against Horizon.

A great player who rose to the occasion when Campbell Hall needed him most.

That was Jrue Holiday.

And to think he's only a junior. Already courted by many of the top college programs in the nation, Holiday should continue to flourish, as several key teammates such as Keegan Hornbuckle, Dallas Rutherford and James Johnson James Johnson may refer to:
