ALL ACC FOOTBALL TEAM, PLAYER AND COACH OF YEAR TO RECEIVE AWARDS AT WACHOVIA BANQUET IN ATLANTA

 ATLANTA, Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- The 1992 All-ACC Football Team, the ACC Player of the Year and the Coach of the Year, who are being named this week, will receive their awards next week during a banquet presented in Atlanta by Wachovia, parent company of South Carolina National Bank.
 The 40th Annual Atlantic Coast Conference Football Awards Banquet, hosted by the Peach Bowl, will be held Dec. 2.
 Wachovia is a long-time major sponsor of the Peach Bowl, which has an agreement with the ACC to field the home team in the next three Peach Bowl games, beginning with the 1993 Silver Anniversary Peach Bowl in Atlanta on Jan. 2. The awards banquet is being held in Atlanta for the first time as part of the ACC's agreement with the Peach Bowl.
 The 1993 Peach Bowl will feature 20th-ranked University of North Carolina of the ACC and 16th-ranked Mississippi State University of the Southeastern Conference. The Peach Bowl will make its debut appearance at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
 The Dec. 2 awards banquet gives ACC fans and alumni an opportunity to meet the conference's football coaches and star players. Other awards to be presented include the ACC Rookie of the Year Award; the Jim Tatum Award, representing academic achievement; and the Brian Piccolo Award, for the player who has overcome serious injury.
