A.L.I. Technologies Inc. ("ALI") introduces new applications for digital image management technology with the release of ALI UltraPACS(R) Version 4.2.

The newest release further improves upon ALI's innovative PACS (Picture ArChiving System) A storage and management system for high-resolution images. Typically pertaining to the medical field, images such as X-rays, MRIs and CAT scans require a greater amount of storage than other industries.  technology and provides users with the features needed to maximize clinical utility, including a powerful Oracle8i database, advanced search features, and digital video tools.

Database search tools have been enhanced to provide physicians with improved access to medical information. Customized queries or default templates with preselected filters can also be used. Advanced search features provide users with seamless access to data across the healthcare enterprise.

 has been refined to increase performance and give users added control over interactive video playback. Furthermore, clips can now be exported in a variety of formats, such as AVI (Audio Video Interleaved) A Windows multimedia video format from Microsoft. It interleaves standard waveform audio and digital video frames (bitmaps) to provide reduced animation at 15 fps at 160x120x8 resolution. Audio is 11,025Hz, 8-bit samples.  or Apple Quick Time(TM).
