ALGOR and Kubotek Partner for Direct CAD/CAE Data Exchange.

PITTSBURGH & MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- ALGOR, Inc., a leading provider of design, analysis and simulation software, and Kubotek USA, Inc., supplier of the KeyCreator(TM) (formerly CADKEY(R)) design and manufacturing software, today announced a new technology partnership. ALGOR has been named a Kubotek Solution Partner and ALGOR's InCAD technology now provides direct CAD/CAE CAD/CAE Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Engineering  data exchange between KeyCreator and ALGOR.

This highly integrated design and analysis solution allows engineers to create solid models in KeyCreator and then directly capture that exact geometry in ALGOR for analysis. Analysis options include static stress and Mechanical Event Simulation (MES (Manufacturing Execution Software) Software that provides real time access to plant activities that include equipment, labor, orders and inventory. An MES integrates the data with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems so that management has complete control of ) with linear and nonlinear material models, linear dynamics, steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow, electrostatics electrostatics, study of phenomena associated with charged bodies at rest (see charge; electricity). A charged body has an excess of positive or negative charges, a condition usually brought about by the transfer of electrons to or from the body.  and full multiphysics.

"The partnership between ALGOR and Kubotek provides our joint customers with a seamless, integrated process for design and analysis," said John Wright McCullough, Product Manager, Kubotek USA. "Interoperability issues as a result of the globalization of manufacturing and outsourcing continue to plague the industry and the partnership with ALGOR is another demonstration of Kubotek's commitment to open and integrated engineering solutions."

"We are excited to offer easy-to-use FEA software to KeyCreator customers and are including InCAD technology for KeyCreator in our entire line of mechanical design products at no additional charge," said Bob Williams, Product Manager, ALGOR. "Providing KeyCreator users with convenient access to our wide range of analysis and simulation tools allows them to verify and improve their product designs through virtual prototypes rather than costly physical prototypes."
