ALGERIA - The Political Perspective.More than 46 years after a bloody struggle of epic proportions brought Algeria Algeria (ăljēr`ēə), Arab. Al Djazair, Fr. A vicious civil war between the army and Islamic Is·lam n. 1. With Algerians increasingly being rounded up for terrorist plots against the West, the Bush administration is providing aid and military equipment to the government of President Bouteflika for use in this war.
