While Hearlihy and other members of the athletic department said they were told that a formal announcement would be released Monday afternoon, none was received by the Daily News by press time and calls to the Archdiocese went unanswered. A representative of Alemany Principal Rev. Robert Milbauer denied that any announcement was forthcoming. ``If any announcement was to be sent out, I would have been the one to do it,'' said Terry Litzie, an assistant to Rev.
