ALEMANY OVERCOMES 21-POINT CRESPI LEAD : ALEMANY 33 CRESPI 28.

Byline: Chris Branam Daily News Staff Writer

Last year, Alemany High folded under pressure and lost a football game to Crespi that it should have won.

This time, the Indians won a game they seemed destined des·tine

``An old Alemany team would have found a way to lose,'' Indians coach Jim Bonds Jim L. Bond (born 1936) is a minister and emeritus general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene.  said. ``We found a way to win.''

The host Indians roared back from a 21-point deficit in the fourth quarter to shock the Celts The following pages provide lists of nations or people of Celtic origin, arranged by branch of Celtic ethnicity or language grouping:

Friday's game-winning touchdown came on Devin Montgomery's 48-yard pass from Casey Clausen Casey Clausen (born January 9, 1981) is a former American football player who played college football for the University of Tennessee. , caught the short pass and raced down the sideline, breaking two tackles before getting into the end zone with 1 minute, 35 seconds left.

``That's all that was in my head: to get into the end zone,'' Montgomery said.''

Crespi (5-4, 0-1) lost its fourth consecutive game even after it took a 28-7 lead. The Celts' defense, excellent most of the game, gave up 185 yards on the Indians' four scoring drives in the fourth quarter.

``We're so inconsistent right now,'' Bonds said. ``It's frustrating frus·trate

The Celts didn't do much on their first possession and trailed 7-0. But defensive back Brian Obringer stepped in front of a Clausen pass and returned the interception 38 yards for a touchdown to cut the lead to 7-6 and spark the Celts.

Crespi scored on three of their next four possessions. Blake Tibbets scored on runs of 2 and 5 yards and Kevin Turner scored on an 8-yard run with 46 seconds left in the first half to give the Celts a 28-7 lead.

Crespi, which managed just 50 yards rushing last week in a loss to home to St. Francis, rolled up 131 in the first 24 minutes against the Indians, including 90 by Tibbets.

Just like they did in their last home game, a 60-20 loss to Loyola, the Indians took the opening kickoff and drove downfield down·field

Alemany was hurt by field position, too. Crespi's last two scoring drives of the half were from 15 and 31 yards, respectively.
