For one,``They play this many people,'' Hearlihy said, as she held up six fingers.

Second, ``They've got a 6-foot-2 girl, (Sarah) Richen,'' Hearlihy announced to players scattered about the court, wiping sweat off their foreheads or catching their breath. ``Our first objective should be to find her and see that she's blocked out. The kid scored 32 points in their last game. Thirty-two.

``And they only scored 50.''

Overall, Hearlihy said the two teams match up well in size and scoring average. In height, the Indians (27-6) don't have an answer for 6-2 senior forward Richen but boast two 5-11 junior centers in Danielle Messiha and Anna Karas Karas may refer to:

Second trip to Sacramento: Alemany scoring leader Kate Beckler has been to ARCO Arena before - not to play but to watch. Two years ago, the 5-7 sophomore guard/forward went to the state final with her father and club-team coach just to see how championship high school games were played.

``It's funny. Back then my dad said, `Some day, you could be playing here,' '' Beckler said. ``I didn't believe him.''

First time for everything: The team leaves for Sacramento on Friday, its flight scheduled at 8:05 a.m. It will be a first-ever trip to the Northern California city for many Alemany players. For 5-0 junior guard Debbie Borra, it will be a first-ever trip on an airplane.

``I think she may be a little tense but mostly excited,'' Hearlihy said.
