ALEMANY HAS A WIN IN OT TO SHOUT ABOUT : ALEMANY 72, CRESPI 63.

Byline: Vincent Bonsignore Daily News Staff Writer

When Alemany High finally had victory in hand, the Indians' fans turned their attention to host Crespi, specifically the members of its student body sitting across the court.

First the Alemany fans shouted: ``Overrated Overrated was a Horde World of Warcraft guild, based on the US Black Dragonflight Realm. On November 2 2006, the majority of the guild members were indefinitely banned from the game for use of (or directly benefiting from) a third-party "wall-hack", used to bypass content  . . . overrated . . . overrated,'' in complaint of the Celts' No. 4 area ranking.

Next came: ``Just like football . . . just like football . . . just like football,'' a reminder of the Indians' win over Crespi last fall.

Which begs the question: ``Soccer?''

72-63 overtime win over Crespi in a key Mission League game draws them even with the Celts (12-4, 3-1) in league play and sets the stage for a wild finish.

Welcome to the crazy, wild world of the Mission League.

``This was a huge win for us,'' said Alemany guard Devin Montgomery, who scored 16 points. ``This was a big week for us, especially after losing to Harvard-Westlake (last week). We needed to come here and win a game and we did.''

The hero for Alemany (11-5, 4-1) was junior guard Reny Maynard, who hit two clutch shots in overtime to put it ahead for good at 69-63. Maynard led the way with 19 points.

Crespi got 12 points from Marcin Jagoda and 11 from Gregg Guenther Gregg Guenther, Jr. (born January 29, 1982 in Calabasas, CA) is a National Football League tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals. College career

For Alemany, the win capped a nice week in which they also beat St. Francis. The Indians have been working in a number of football players turned basketball players over the last month, and coach Darryl McDonald Darryl McDonald (born June 17, 1964, in New York) is an American-Australian professional basketball player currently playing for the Melbourne Tigers in Australia's National Basketball League.  thinks his team is a week or two away from hitting its stride.

They depend on a quick, up-tempo style that relies on defensive pressure all over the court. They've played well in spurts this year, but have been victims of up and down play.
