Alemany of Mission Hills faces Cleveland of Reseda at 6:30 p.m. at Birmingham High in Van Nuys in a matchup of the tournament's top representatives from the Southern Section and City Section.

Neither team finished higher than fourth in its league last season, but both have shown they are far different this year with 4-0 starts.

Cleveland was one of three City teams to go undefeated during pool play but earned the berth in the final based on its strength of schedule and fewest runs allowed. The three runs scored by Calabasas on Thursday are the most scored against Cleveland this season.

Alemany, in its first year in the tournament, was the only Southern Section team to go undefeated.

The game will be proceeded by competitions open to participants from all of the tournament's 36 teams. The events begin with a home run derby This is about the Major League Baseball contest. For the 1959 television show of the same name, see Home Run Derby (TV series).
