 ALCOA AND ALUSUISSE END TALKS ON PROPOSED VENTURE
 PITTSBURGH, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Alcoa (NYSE: AA) and Alusuisse-Lonza Holding Ltd. (A-L), Zurich, have mutually agreed to end their negotiations on a proposed venture to cooperate in the aluminum rolling facilities of A-L's Alusuisse Swiss Aluminium Ltd. subsidiary located at Sierre in the Swiss Canton of Valais.
 Talks began in November 1991.
 The companies said that in spite of intensive effort, they were not able to establish a satisfactory basis for cooperation.
