 ALCO INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES ELECTION
 OF B. ROLAND FREASIER JR. AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
 SAN DIEGO, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Alco International Group Inc. (NASDAQ: ALIG) has announced the election of B. Roland Freasier Jr. as chairman of the board. Freasier had served as acting chairman of Alco's board of directors since January 1992. Freasier, an attorney, is an acknowledged expert on federal tax law. In his 25 years of practice he has served as Professor for Taxation at Virginia Commonwealth University, as Appeals Officer with the Internal Revenue Service and as Internal Revenue Agent. Freasier, who is also a Certified Public Accountant, has published numerous articles on taxation in a variety of professional journals.
 Dr. Dietmar Rabussay has been elected as president and chief executive officer. Rabussay previously was a vice president with Life Technologies Inc., where he developed new businesses and products in a fast-growing company. Rabussay's background includes experience in managing international business and product development projects. In addition to his background in the biomedical industry, Rabussay is an accomplished scientist with numerous publications and public presentations to his credit. Rabussay has invented or co- invented several new technologies in the biomedical field and was a member of a Study Section of the National Institutes of Health.
 Rabussay was also elected as president and chief executive officer of Alco's wholly owned subsidiary, InCoMed Inc., which is presently preparing the introduction of the Barrier Integrity Monitor system (BIM) to the market place.
 The election of Freasier and Rabussay to key positions in the company will strengthen Alco's management team and provide a driving force for the introduction of the company's new products.
 Alco, through its subsidiaries, operates two primary businesses: the marketing of medical products for infection control and for women's health; and the transportation of containerized cargo from South Florida to the Caribbean.
