ALC COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND ON CLASS A PREFERRED STOCK

 BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- ALC Communications Corporation (AMEX: ALC) Board of Directors today declared a quarterly dividend of 32 cents per share on each of the 355,956 issued and outstanding shares of Class A Preferred Stock. The dividend is payable Dec. 31, 1993, to Class A Preferred stockholders of record at the close of business Dec. 13, 1993. The dividends were determined according to the company's Restated Certificate of Incorporation.
 The shares of Class A Preferred Stock are entitled to quarterly, cumulating dividends. The company last declared such dividend payments for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1993.
 ALC Communications Corporation common stock is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol ALC. Allnet(R), the wholly owned operating subsidiary of ALC(R), provides long-distance products and services to customers nationwide. The company is headquartered in Bingham Farms.
