ALBC wins Slow Food honors.


COUNTRYSIDE: I was pleased to see your article on the Slow Food Movement in the latest issue of COUNTRYSIDE. While the emphasis in your article is on the techniques of regional slow food preparation, ultimately the issue must include the resources from which slow food is prepared: the plants and animals Plants and Animals are a Canadian indie-rock band from Montreal, comprised of guitarist-vocalists Warren Spicer and Nic Basque, and drummer-vocalist Matthew Woodley.[1] They are signed to Secret City Records.  which provide the raw materials. These have been selected and developed over centuries in many regions of the world.

In America, since we are nearly all immigrants, we have brought these food producers from all over the world and have almost forgotten the regionalism re·gion·al·ism

Its mission is to protect "genetic diversity in livestock and poultry species through the conservation and promotion of endangered breeds.  was one so honored, and the only award recipient from the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .
