 ALASKA SETS $50 MILLION CREDIT LINE
 SEATTLE, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Airlines Inc. today


announced the signing of a new agreement for a $50,000,000 line of credit with National Westminister Bank PLC. The credit agreement will provide interim financing for the carrier's purchase of eight new jet aircraft scheduled for delivery over the next year.
 The aircraft, valued at approximately $240 million, are part of Alaska's $2.0 billion order with McDonnell Douglas for MD-80 and MD-90 series aircraft, as well as a $70 million order with Boeing for 737-400 aircraft.
 Loan advances will be available under the credit agreement for 364 days and the term of the agreement may be extended quarterly. Advances under the credit line can be repaid over a term of six years. In addition to this credit, Alaska also has available an unused $50,000,000 credit line with the Bank of America.
 Seattle-based Alaska Airlines serves 38 cities in Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Russia and five Western states.
