ALASKA AIRLINES ANNOUNCES NEW SERVICE TO YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK IN THE RUSSIAN FAR EAST.


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 1997--Alaska Airlines announced it will begin service May 10 to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, pending approval from Russian Russian

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (pronounced "YOOJ-no sock-hal-eensk") is the regional capital of the Russian island of Sakhalin, just north of the Japanese island of Hokkaido.
