ALASKA AIRLINES $25 FARES SOLD OUT UNTIL AFTER LABOR DAY WEEKEND; FARES STILL AVAILABLE, BUT GOING FAST, FOR TRAVEL FROM SEPT. 4 THROUGH OCT. 31.SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 16, 1996--Response to Alaska Alaska (əlă`skə), largest in area of the United States but third smallest (exceeding only Vermont and Wyoming) in population, occupying the northwest extremity of the North American continent, separated from the coterminous United States Airlines' $25 ticket sale has been so strong that all seats at that fare level for travel from Aug. 19 through Sept. 3 are sold out. A limited number of seats remain available at the $25 level for travel between Sept. 4 and Oct. 31. The exception is Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. where all $25 seats are sold out through the end of the Oct. 31 sale period. Other low fares to Las Vegas are still available. A spokesman for the airline said that demand for travel at the $25 fare has been extraordinary.
