 ALASKA AIRLINES, HORIZON AIR REPORT JUNE TRAFFIC RESULTS
 SEATTLE, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air:
 ALASKA JUNE TRAFFIC UP 18 PERCENT
 Alaska Airlines, a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK; PSE), reported today that its June traffic increased 18 percent to 561.6 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) from the 475.5 million flown a year earlier. The passenger load factor (the percentage of available seats occupied by fare-paying passengers) for the month was 61.9 percent, compared to the 59.1 percent in June 1991.
 Capacity during June was 907.6 million available seat miles (ASMs), 13 percent higher than last year's 804.9 million. The airline carried 634,900 passengers in June compared to 560,700 in June 1991.
 For the six months ended June 1992, revenue passenger miles totaled 2.668 billion, a 14 percent increase from the 2.339 billion recorded a year earlier. The passenger load factor for the six months ended June 1992 was 55.6 percent, down from the 56.4 percent for the prior year.
 Capacity for the six months ended June 1992 increased 16 percent to 4.794 billion, up from 4.145 billion in 1991. The airline carried ,985,000 passengers, compared to 2,795,000 in 1991.
 HORIZON AIR'S JUNE TRAFFIC UP 33 PERCENT
 Horizon Air, a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK; PSE), reported today that its June traffic increased 33 percent to 46.8 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) from the 35.1 million flown a year earlier. The passenger load factor (the percentage of available seats occupied by fare-paying passengers) for the month was 60.5 percent, up from 54.0 percent recorded in June 1991.
 The airline carried a record 229,314 passengers in June, a 30 percent increase from the 177,081 carried in June 1991. Capacity during June was 77.3 million available seat miles (ASMs), 19 percent higher than last year's 65.0 million.
 For the six months ended June 30, 1992, revenue passenger miles totaled 219.1 million, a 21 percent increase from the 181.7 million recorded a year earlier.
 The passenger load factor for the six months ended June 30, 1992, was 50.2 percent, compared to 48.7 percent for 1991.
 Capacity (ASMs) for the six months ended June 30, 1992, increased 17 percent to 436.5 million, up from 373.5 million flown in 1991. The airline carried 1,073,477 passengers through June 1992, up 18 percent from the 913,295 in 1991.
