This compares to a load factor of 59.2 percent in February 1996 and the previous record of 60.3 percent established in February 1994. The passenger load factor for the first two months of 1997 was 62.5 percent, up from 56.6 percent in 1996. The airline carried 1,718,800 passengers, compared to 1,574,900 in 1996. HORIZON AIR Horizon Air's February traffic decreased 6.7 percent to 64 million RPMs from 69 million flown a year earlier. Capacity for February was 108 million ASMs, 5.4 percent lower than last year's 114 million. The passenger load factor for the month was 59.6 percent, compared to 60.4 percent last February. The airline carried 268,700 passengers compared to 300,700 in February 1996. Revenue passenger miles for the two-month period totaled 132 million, a 2.4 percent decrease from the 135 million recorded a year earlier. Capacity for the two months ended February 1997 decreased 2 percent to 227 million ASMs, down from 231 million in 1996. The passenger load factor for the first two months of 1997 was 58.1 percent, down from 58.4 percent for 1996. The airline carried 555,600 passengers, compared to 587,500 for the same period in 1996.
