ALAMO EXPANDS VALUE-ADDED BOOKLETS TO REACH BUSINESS TRAVELERS

 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Alamo Rent A Car, the largest independently owned and operated car rental company in the United States, has created a new "Business Book" that will provide money-saving coupons to business travelers. The new coupon book, to be distributed at no charge to business customers in Alamo's seven Texas locations, is an extension of Alamo's popular VacationSavers coupon book for leisure travelers. Alamo facilities in Texas are located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Love Field in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Intercontinental Airport in Houston, and Hobby Airport in Houston.
 The Business Book provides Alamo customers with a variety of savings on business-related services and merchandise including hotels, dry cleaning and computer rentals. Using the Alamo Business Book, business travelers will enjoy savings that include 25 percent off at Accent Color Copies and Computer Graphics in Austin; 10 percent off at First National Computer Rentals in Dallas; and 20 percent off the visitor user fee at the President's Health Club Spa in El Paso.
 The new book also represents an expansion of Alamo's value-added coupon books into new locations. Alamo's VacationSavers are given free to customers in Hawaii, California and Florida, while a SkiSavers coupon book is currently distributed at various ski locations around the country.
 "More and more business travelers are choosing Alamo, and we want to provide these customers with extra value whenever possible," commented Don Moonjian, vice president of marketing for Alamo. "We want to build on our status as the number one rental car company in the leisure market, and that means giving business customers what they want and need."
 Alamo currently serves over 10 million travelers a year through 103 high-volume locations in the United States, plus 22 international locations in the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Alamo currently ranks fourth among all U.S. car rental companies based on fleet size and annual revenues, with a model year peak fleet of 150,000 cars in 1992. Alamo's revenues in 1992 were $870 million, up from $740 million in 1991.
