AK Steel and the United Steelworkers of America Initiate Discussions.Business Editors MIDDLETOWN, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 2003 AK Steel (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :AKS) said today that company representatives have met with the United Steelworkers United Steelworkers (USW) historic labour union representing workers in steel, aluminum, and other metallurgical industries for much of the 20th century. The company said that the meetings have included face-to-face discussions between James L. Wainscott, acting chief executive officer of AK Steel, and Leo Leo, in astronomy Leo [Lat.,=the lion], northern constellation lying S of Ursa Major and on the ecliptic (apparent path of the sun through the heavens) between Cancer and Virgo; it is one of the constellations of the zodiac.
