Vignette Corp. (Nasdaq:VIGN), the leading provider of integrated content management applications, today announced that American International Underwriters (AIU) has selected Vignette(R) applications for AIU's Web development, including http://www.aiu.com/.

AIU, which operates American International Group Inc.'s (AIG) overseas property and casual insurance network, has chosen Vignette applications for content management and personalization. AIU's Web sites will provide property-casualty insurance agents and brokers with access to online tools, such as quoting applications and marketing kits. Vignette applications will enable AIU to increase productivity by leveraging the Web to complete tasks electronically that have traditionally been paper-intensive and time-consuming.

AIU selected the Vignette(R) Content Management Server (VCMS) and the Vignette(R) Lifecycle Personalization Server (VLPS) to power its sites. AIU also selected the Vignette(R) Advanced Deployment Server (VADS) to aid in the fast development and deployment of new sites, including regional sites for Europe.
