AIRCO/BOC APPOINTS ANDRE RIEDL TO NEWLY CREATED POST OF VICE PRESIDENT, CANADA EAST -- CANOX

MURRAY HILL, N.J., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Andre Riedl has been appointed vice president for Eastern Canada of Canadian Oxygen Limited (CANOX) -- Airco's sister BOC gases company.
"This is a new position, created by the recent restructuring of our Canadian businesses into two regions, Canada East and Canada West, to further the alignment of our business on a North American basis," said Tony Wiper, president of Airco Distributor and Cylinder Business for North America, headquartered in Murray Hill, N.J. Canada East now includes all CANOX locations in Quebec and the Maritime provinces.
"Andre, who until recently was our general manager for Quebec, has extensive experience in the industrial gas operations of CANOX," says Wiper. "That expertise will help us take advantage of the synergistic opportunities presented by the new configuration of our organization."
CANOX markets a vast range of industrial gases and welding equipment to a variety of industries throughout Canada, through more than 60 branch outlets and over 500 independently owned dealers. It is the largest distribution organizations of its kind in Canada.
Airco Gases is a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial gases and gas handling technology in the United States. The company's primary gas products include cryogenic and non-cryogenic nitrogen and oxygen, as well as argon, carbon dioxide, helium, hydrogen and a variety of medical, rare and special gases.
Both CANOX and Airco are members of The BOC Group, the worldwide gases company operating in over 60 countries and with sales last year of over $5.2 billion.
