AIR SHOW TO TAKE FLIGHT, WITH SPECIAL FUN FOR KIDS.

Military jets, vintage planes and experimental aircraft will take to the skies above Ventura County this weekend at the annual Camarillo Air Show.

Sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, the show will be held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Camarillo Airport Camarillo Airport (ICAO: KCMA, FAA LID: CMA) is a public airport located three miles (5 km) west of the central business district of Camarillo, a city in Ventura County, California, United States. . Supporting this year's theme of ``Youth in Aviation,'' the event will feature a number of special activities for children.

In addition to an assortment of planes, there will be an appearance by aviation pioneer Paul MacCready Paul B. MacCready, Jr. (September 25, 1925 - August 28, 2007) was an American aeronautical engineer. He was the founder of AeroVironment and the inventor of the first practical flying machine powered by a human being.  Jr.; the Gossamer Condor The Gossamer Condor was a human-powered aircraft built by Dr Paul B. MacCready's AeroVironment. The aircraft, piloted by amateur cyclist and hang-glider pilot Bryan Allen, won the first Kremer prize on August 23, 1977 by completing a figure '8' course specified by the Royal , the first human-powered aircraft to achieve sustained, maneuverable flight; and the Gossamer Albatross The Gossamer Albatross was a human-powered aircraft built by American aeronautical engineer Dr. Paul B. MacCready's AeroVironment. On June 12, 1979 it completed a successful crossing of the English Channel to win the second Kremer prize. , the first human-powered aircraft to fly across the English Channel.

The show will feature a display of entries in the Youth and Aviation Art and Science Fair Contest, and proceeds will help support the Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagles program.

Musical entertainment will include the Glenn Miller Young Americans from Calabasas High School Calabasas High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Calabasas, California, United States.

Calabasas High School, which serves portions of Calabasas and the West Hills, Los Angeles, California section of Los Angeles, is one of three high schools in the Las
