AIR PRODUCTS SELECTS AT&T FOR $12 MILLION CUSTOM NETWORK

 ALLENTOWN, Pa., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) has announced a four-year, $12 million agreement with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: APD) to implement a custom global communications network.
 The voice and data network will link more than 280 Air Products locations in the United States and around the world. A combination of services will give Air Products users access to the network at any of its U.S. or global locations.
 "We expect our communications network to meet our demands for technical functionality and growth as well as our high standards for quality, reliability and service," said Pete Mather, vice president- Management Information Services at Air Products. "AT&T has committed to meet all our needs while providing the best value for our communications dollars."
 L. Scott Perry, AT&T's regional vice president-Business Network Sales, said of the agreement, "We are extremely pleased that Air Products has chosen to strengthen its relationship with AT&T. Industry leaders like Air Products have unique network services requirements and AT&T is committed to meet them."
 Based in Allentown, Air Products is an international supplier of industrial gases and related equipment, chemicals and environmental and energy systems.
