AIR PARK PLANS SET OFF DEBATE EXPANSION HEARING ON TAP TO ADDRESS CITIZENS' SIDE.

 will hold a special hearing in Agua Dulce to address complaints about the small community airport, which is being expanded under new ownership.

The Board of Supervisors approved the hearing Tuesday on a 3-0 vote. The time and date have yet to be determined, though residents were assured it would be held near their community but likely not for two or three months, Novak said.

He was also the compere of Network Ten's game show The Con Test. . Fried, president of the Agua Dulce Town Council, urged the supervisors to give residents a chance to voice their concerns.

Residents, he said, are ``very concerned about the many problems that the air park does create for the community.

``After many years of controversy, and this airport has been open since roughly 1959, the community of Agua Dulce deserves an opportunity to participate in a public hearing regarding the issues that really are of enormous importance to the entire community.''

The airport, long open on weekends only, has sprung back to life since new owner Barry Kirshner took over three years ago. Community athletic fields have been added, new hangars are being built and special events have been scheduled. While some are thrilled with the changes, others complain about illegal air acrobatics acrobatics

Novak said the county could consider tougher conditions on activities at the air park, and even revoke To annul or make void by recalling or taking back; to cancel, rescind, repeal, or reverse.
