AIR INDIA SELECTS WICAT TO PROVIDE FLIGHT TRAINING

 OREM, Utah, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Air India announced today that it has selected Wicat to provide systems and courseware for flight crew training for Boeing B747-400, B747-200 and Airbus A-310 aircraft types.
 Air India has selected the Wicat/NATCO B747-400 groundschool courseware, the Wicat/Iberia B747-400 flight crew courseware, and Wicat's powerful new B747-400 FMS and System Desktop Simulations. In addition, Air India has selected the Aeroformation A-310 Courseware and will be a launching customer for the new improved courseware Wicat and Aeroformation will be developing together.
 As part of the training system Wicat will also supply B747-400 FMS and B747-400 Autoflight part-task trainers to Air India. These desktop trainers are integrated with the FMS and systems courseware, and will allow Air India to download simulator and dedicated cockpit training tasks to the desktop computer-based training (CBT) system.
 A network of 14 Wicat WITS 486/33I high-resolution workstations will be installed at the Air India Flight Crew Training Centre in Bombay.
 Air India's selection of Wicat was made after a thorough review of other vendors' systems.
 The Air India selection strengthens the Wicat customer base in the region which already includes Gulf Air, Pakistan International, Iran Air, Cathay Pacific, Thai International and Singapore Airlines.
