Byline: Rachel Uranga Staff Writer

POINT MUGU - Two years after a fiery crash that killed two crew members, the Point Mugu Air Show resumes this weekend in an event some say will unite the community.

``It was hard for the entire community, not just me and my friends,'' said Sylvia Norman of Camarillo, the pilot's 35-year-old widow, who was at the air show with the couple's 3-year-old daughter.

``I want to say thank you to the community and enjoy the air show. It's about the sacrifices, about all the men and women in the armed forces.''

And organizers say they hope for big crowds for this year's two-day show.

``After a year off, everyone wants to come back,'' said Vance Vasquez, spokesman for Naval Base A naval base primarily for support of the forces afloat, contiguous to a port or anchorage, consisting of activities or facilities for which the Navy has operating responsibilities, together with interior lines of communications and the minimum surrounding area necessary for local  Ventura County.
