AINSWORTH IS A SILENT STAR; SHE MAY BE QUIET, BUT FORWARD'S PLAY SPEAKS VOLUMES.Byline: Jim Inghram Staff Writer Sometimes, for the casual observer, it's hard to notice Jenna Ainsworth on the soccer field. Maybe it's her slight build or whisper-quiet voice that makes her blend in Verb 1. blend in - blend or harmonize; "This flavor will blend with those in your dish"; "This sofa won't go with the chairs" blend, go fit, go - be the right size or shape; fit correctly or as desired; "This piece won't fit into the puzzle" . It could be her no-nonsense approach. While Ainsworth might mesh well into a cohesive unit, she is far from invisible. And a move from the midfield to forward should make her even more noticeable. ``She is much more dangerous at forward,'' said Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. I like to call her the quiet assassin. She reads the game very well and always knows what to do and when to do it.'' Her dexterity makes her tough for opponents to defend. ``She has a good left and right foot,'' Camarena said. ``She's an excellent distributor and just does things right.'' Ainsworth has been successful on her club teams and at the high school level. She played on the Westlake High varsity as a freshman and was there last year, too. She was selected honorable mention as a freshman and to the second team as a sophomore. She managed to get noticed even though she was surrounded by players like Naomi Chu, Meghan Daly and Tasha Spangler. She's made her mark on her club team as well. Camarena figures Ainsworth has shown enough ability that she should be on her age-group ODP ODP - Open Distributed Processing (Olympic Development Program) team. ``I think she should definitely be on it,'' Camarena said. ``She is a fantastic player.'' Ainsworth, along with Sara Silver-Hill, also a high school teammate at Westlake, will lead the charge offensively for the SCSC (formerly the Las Virgenes Blazers) under-17 team beginning Saturday at the prestigious San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. Ainsworth, who has the goal of someday securing a Division I soccer scholarship, said she wouldn't be nervous playing in the tournament even though representatives from numerous colleges will be in attendance to evaluate players. ``High school is really fun,'' she said, ``but not as competitive.
