, Tenn. This weigh station, located five miles east of the I75 and I40 merger, handles approximately 12 million trucks each year and is among the busiest sites in the entire nation.

During the screening process, the ALARM handheld was used by members of the Knox County Sheriff's Department bomb squad on trucks that had been deemed "suspicious" and warranted being pulled out of the line for further inspection. Once the truck had come to a stop, the bomb squad team member used the ALARM handheld to check for radiation that could be present in the cargo trailer. Knox County Sheriff Tim Hutchison Tim Hutchinson is an Australian Rules Football player. He is a 196cm (6' 4½") development long term ruckman and key forward for the Kangaroos.

Hutchison had groin problems in 2005 after playing for Port Adelaide Magpies and only managed to play in two games for the season
was quoted as saying, "The ALARM handheld has the potential to greatly increase our detection capabilities and could play a major role in security checkpoints such as these in the future."

ABOUT ALARM: The ALARM device is a revolutionary technology for homeland security. This handheld device provides a valuable tool for emergency personnel responding to any radiological, biological, or chemical attack or situation. First responders can each spread out through the affected area carrying an "ALARM" unit. Each unit sends back real time contamination level information, along with GPS mapping data, to a central remote command center. The command center computer, using the input from each "ALARM" unit, builds a display of contamination overlaid onto a map of the area.
