AIM; Region targets quality recruits as Thomas builds for future.Byline: Thomas simon THE BLUES are planning to bring in two more "top-quality" signings for next season's move to their new home. Chairman Peter Thomas says they are currently in negotiations to fill two positions as they look to build on the success of this term. Cooper studied Sports Science at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. at 9 and Gavin Evans Gavin Evans (born 18 July, 1984) is a Welsh rugby union rugby player, currently playing for the Llanelli Scarlets in the Celtic League. His usual position is in the centres. In 2006 he was called up into the Welsh national team squad for the November Test series. in the centre and we are looking at two other positions to strengthen the squad further," he said.. "We are currently in negotiations to try and fill those positions by the start of next season. "We are looking for top quality. "If there is a particular position that we want to fill, we want the very best available in that position. "And, if for whatever reason, someone leaves, then the person who comes in has to be at least the same level - if not better.. "Next year we will have a reduced squad, but a quality one, of around 34-36 players, plus 12 Academy players." Thomas - who has seen the Blues reach today's EDF (algorithm) EDF - earliest deadline first.
