Event Highlights

AIIM ON DEMAND 2004, co-produced with AIIM International and CAP Ventures, featured: keynotes from renowned business leaders; a multitude of educational conference sessions; special-interest tutorials; partner networking; industry-specific solution centers; technology demonstrations; and even a charitable program using technologies showcased at the event to create 7,000 books for New York City public schools. In addition, a comprehensive exhibit hall featuring almost 500 suppliers provided qualified buyers with access to the latest technological advances in information management.

"Few technology tradeshows have succeeded to grow in the past few years, yet AIIM ON DEMAND continues to thrive. We've been able to do so by closely tracking market trends and through the continued support of our 500 suppliers, 48 media sponsors, and key associations partners," said Brian Randall, former vice president of AIIM International and general manager of Advanstar Technology Group. "Year after year, thousands of attendees from numerous vertical industries participate in AIIM ON DEMAND, making it the largest enterprise technology event in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  today. This event enjoys an incredibly successful track record, and we've already implemented plans to ensure that AIIM ON DEMAND 2005 continues to exceed expectations."

AIIM ON DEMAND 2004's tremendous success was due in part to the more than 200 speakers highlighted throughout the event's agenda. Attendees had access to keynote addresses keynote address

As the opening-day keynote, Mulcahy drew a standing-room-only crowd of approximately 2,600 business professionals. Mulcahy explored the need to transform work processes to drive new growth and productivity, and discussed smart document management and the intersection of technology and services.

In addition to hearing from business luminaries, conference attendees had access to industry-specific technologies and solutions. With an added focus on providing vertically focused solutions, AIIM ON DEMAND 2004 created areas on the show floor such as The Government Procurement Government procurement, also called public tendering, is the procurement of goods and services on behalf of a public authority, such as a government agency. The Government Procurement Zone attracted a great deal of attention from public sector attendees due to the targeted nature of the technologies and presentations, in-depth case studies, and successful implementations of content and document technologies in government applications. The workflow tours demonstrated industry vendors integrating multiple products to create an automated workflow using the JDF standard.

For the second year, conference attendees could also walk away feeling they had contributed to the community as the Books for Schools Program was an utter success. Because the best way to demonstrate digital printing is to print actual documents, brochures and books, industry-leading organizations demonstrated their printing prowess while developing books to be used in New York City schools.
