Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ, Nasdaq: IIJI), Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions provider, today announced that its 26.7% affiliate Asia Internet Holding Co., Ltd. (AIH) and MIMOS BERHAD (MIMOS; Headquarters: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) have reached an agreement that AIH will provide operation of secondary Domain Name System (DNS) server for .my Malaysia country code top level domain (cctld) and second level domain on top of A-Bone.

"A-Bone" is an IP backbone network of AIH which directly connects each country in the Asia-pacific region with high-speed circuits. MIMOS(*1) has been connecting with A-Bone connectivity since 1996 through its own ISP JARING(*1) (JARING, Headquarters: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). Currently, the connectivity has been upgraded to 45Mbps and with appreciation on its network quality that enables MIMOS, which is an operator of MYNIC(*2), to provide reliable IP connectivity service to its Internet users, decided to appoint AIH for operation of Malaysia cctld Secondary DNS Server.

In order to support Malaysia and other Asian countries' ever expanding growth of Internet, AIH will continue to scale up its network along with value-added services.
