American International Group, Inc. (AIG) (NYSE: AIG; TYO: 8685 ) is a major American insurance corporation based in New York City.
 inc. said it will speed up efforts to position its Asian life operation, American International Assurance American International Assurance known as AIA (美國友邦保險) is a famous insurance company based in Hong Kong. It has offices in Asia-Pacific region including China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and  Co. Ltd., as an independent entity and seek a public listing on an Asian stock exchange for AIA AIA - Application Integration Architecture , depending on market conditions and regulatory approval.

AIG said it has "undertaken a request for proposal process to select global coordinators and book runners" for an initial public offering. The process will be managed by Blackstone Group, AIG's global financial adviser for its restructuring program and IPO (Initial Public Offering) The first time a company offers shares of stock to the public.
