Nation's Second Largest Provider of Retirement Plans to Health Care Organizations Selected Based on Personal, Face-to-Face Client Service and Comprehensive Financial Planning Capabilities

HOUSTON -- AIG VALIC, a national leading provider of retirement plan services to for-profit and not-for-profit education, health care and government organizations, today announced that it has been selected by Long Island (NY)-based Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC) as its exclusive 457(b) deferred compensation plan provider for its more than 3,600 employees. NHCC is composed of a hospital, an extended care facility and seven health clinics. The hospital is the largest safety net hospital in the county, serving over 280,000 patients a year at the Nassau University Medical Center Emergency Department and over 85 specialized clinics.

In addition to servicing NHCC with a dedicated team of VALIC financial advisors, AIG VALIC will also provide NHCC plan participants with a complete suite of enhanced Internet support services, including online financial planning and education, online seminar registration, online enrollment, and the ability to aggregate all potential sources of retirement income into a single platform. These features will give NHCC participants the option to manage their retirement savings programs exclusively online.

Other considerations in the selection of AIG VALIC included a streamlined offering of investment options covering multiple asset classes at a lower cost than previously offered to NHCC employees, as well as an easy-to-use customer service center where employees can speak to a representative directly.
