AIG VALIC Launches New Multi-Dimensional Retirement Planning and Income Management Services.

HOUSTON -- IncomEdge(SM) Program Combines Education, Planning Tools, Personal Advice and Investment Products to Help Clients Generate Sufficient Income Throughout Retirement

AIG VALIC, an industry leader in retirement planning and investment services for the public and private sectors, today launched a new program of coordinated services and products to help clients define and achieve their financial goals in retirement, in particular their desired level of retirement income.

VALIC's new IncomEdge(SM) program integrates the knowledge, planning tools, personal advice and income-generating investment products that most Americans will need to develop and implement a successful retirement plan. In a step-by-step process that includes the personal assistance of a VALIC financial advisor, clients are guided through each stage of retirement preparation: evaluating retirement needs; establishing savings goals; investing retirement assets; and creating an effective strategy for generating a sustainable income stream in retirement.

--Access to state-of-the-industry planning tools, such as Monte Carlo simulations that help illustrate the probability for success of a specific financial plan.

--Two newly created single-premium, immediate annuities that can be used to generate a stream of income in retirement.

--Secure Pension is a single-premium, immediate fixed annuity that provides a monthly payout for life.

--Personal Pension is a single-premium, immediate fixed and variable annuity that offers owners the choice of a fixed or variable payout, or a combination of both, which is based in part on the performance of underlying investment options chosen. Personal Pension includes an optional inflation protection rider for the fixed plan and provisions for withdrawals and transfers for the variable plan.
