AIG SunAmerica Asset Management Announces Executive Appointments; Names Jim Nichols President and CEO of Fund Distribution Company, and Appoints John Genoy as COO.

 SunAmerica Asset Management Corp., the mutual fund and asset management business of AIG Retirement Services, Inc., today announced two senior management appointments: Jim Nichols, previously Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the firm's distribution company, AIG SunAmerica Capital Services, Inc. In addition, John Genoy, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, was named Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Nichols, who has been with AIG SunAmerica Asset Management for 17 years in a variety of management roles, will be responsible for all sales and marketing functions at AIG SunAmerica Capital Services. In commenting on the announcement, AIG SunAmerica Asset Management President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Peter A. Harbeck said, "Jim brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role at the company. His insights will be invaluable as we continue to grow our organization." Nichols assumes the position previously held by Steve Neamtz, who retired from the firm earlier this year.

Genoy continues in his role as CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  while assuming additional responsibilities as COO of the asset management company. In his new post, Genoy will work on a broad array of issues including strategic planning and corporate development. "I have worked with John for more than 11 years, and believe he brings strong insights and perspective to his new position," said Harbeck. "I look forward to having him take a more active role in managing and growing our firm."
