Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBI) announced today that AIG Life Insurance, a division of American International Group, Inc., the leading U.S.-based international insurance and financial services organization, has chosen Mobius ViewDirect(R) check image archiving technology for an enterprise-wide implementation at its customer service support center in Wilmington, Delaware. The system will provide check image archiving and viewing capabilities to customer service representatives and agents throughout the United States as part of an overall plan to provide superior state-of-the-art customer service.

The Mobius solution for AIG Life Insurance includes ViewDirect, the archiving engine and document server of the Mobius software suite, and DocumentDirect(R), the Windows-based viewing client that furnishes AIG Life Insurance company's network of customer service representatives and agents with instantaneous access to the ViewDirect integrated repository of documents and check images. The rapid availability of information will improve productivity for customer service representatives and agents, and enhance service to customers.

The system is based on a fully indexed online archive of all disbursement check images and associated documents and can provide customized screens for specific functions. Check images and other customer documentation are indexed by multiple keys, making it easy to locate items by policy number, check number, amount and date to streamline the retrieval process.

AIG Life Insurance receives checks on CD-ROM from multiple banks. Currently, retrieving information from CD-ROM may take as long as three days. When the ViewDirect implementation is complete, image retrieval will be an online, real-time process, from a standardized central archive for all check images. Check images will be delivered to the user's desktop within seconds.

In addition, the functionality of the check image archive will enable AIG Life Insurance to convert years of historical data stored on CD-ROM to ViewDirect, so that historical as well as current data will be available for rapid retrieval from the ViewDirect archive.
