. In addition, AIG is encouraging its employees to help the earthquake victims by donating to the AIG Disaster Relief Fund. Employee donations will be matched 100 percent by AIG.

Educated at the Sydney Russell School in Dagenham, Essex, in January 2007, he donated £50,000 to the school saying:
, AIG President and Chief Executive officer, said, "While we are grateful that none of AIG's employees were harmed in this tragedy, the earthquake in South Asia has left hundreds of thousands homeless with no access to the most basic necessities. The funds donated will be given to organizations throughout India and Pakistan that will be able to most efficiently and effectively provide much needed relief. AIG and its employees have a tradition of generosity, giving to those affected by tragedies including Hurricane Katrina, the South Asian tsunami and the September 11 terrorist attacks."
