) has announced that Timothy Schiltz has been named Regional Vice President of AIG International Retirement Services - Asia. Mr. Schiltz, 45, will be responsible for continuing the profitable growth of AIG's Japan and Korea retirement services businesses and for identifying additional opportunities for expansion throughout Asia. He will also focus on leveraging AIG's unsurpassed global presence, network of distribution partners, and the operations platform and expertise of local AIG companies in the region.

Mr. Schiltz will report to Jay S. Wintrob, AIG Executive Vice President, Retirement Services, and regionally to Edmund S. W. Tse, AIG Senior Vice Chairman, Life Insurance and Seiki Tokuni, AIG Vice President and Regional Senior Vice President and COO, Life Insurance, for AIG Companies, Japan and Korea.

Previously, Mr. Schiltz served as Hartford Life's Vice President and Director of Institutional Investment Products from 1996 to 1999 and was named Director of Risk Management in 1995. He joined the company in 1993 as Director of Product Management, Individual Annuities. Prior to joining Hartford Life, Mr. Schiltz served a consulting actuary for the actuarial firms Milliman, Inc. and Robertson and Chalke, Inc.

Mr. Schiltz earned his B.S. degree in Integrated Studies (with a focus in Actuarial Science) from the University of Nebraska in 1983. He received his Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries Mission Statement
