(AIG) announces the launch of www.aigdirect.com, an e-commerce Internet site offering personal lines insurance coverages direct to consumers. aigdirect.com offers a comprehensive portfolio of insurance products(a) underwritten by AIG member companies, coupled with advanced transactional capabilities providing customers with a direct, secure vehicle to conduct the transactions online. Additionally, aigdirect.com targets small business owners by providing product and direct purchasing information on AIG member companies' small business insurance candler, AIG Executive Vice President. "We believe this site will attract those wanting to learn about insuranrties to act on offline. aigdirect.com enables customers to conduct transactions online, while providing privacy and security for the customer's personal information, as well as the cost savings benefit of the direct, online approach. The site features 24-hour, 7-day quoting, online premium payment and web-based customer service, including first claims notice and policy processing.

Additionally, aigdirect.com provides one-stop shopping for virtually all of a customer's insurance needs, offering a broad range of personal and small business insurance coverages. Consumers can select from auto, homeowners, renters, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and home warranty products. Site visitors can also receive information on small business insurance products.
