 AIG APPOINTS ANDREW WARREN SENIOR EXECUTIVE FOR
 WORLDWIDE ACCIDENT AND HEALTH BUSINESS
 NEW YORK, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) has announced the appointment of Andrew J. Warren as profit center manager for the company's worldwide accident and health insurance business. Warren replaces Kingsley Schubert, who has resigned.
 Most recently, Warren, 53, was director of marketing for AIG's Domestic Brokerage Group. He joined American International Underwriters (AIU), AIG's overseas property-casualty insurance organization, in 1975 as manager of worldwide casualty operations. He later served as manager of worldwide property operations, president of AIU's Transoceanic Division, senior executive for Australasia, and senior vice president of AI Global. Warren is a graduate of the College of Insurance and holds the associate in risk management designation.
 Warren will report to Brian Duperreault, AIU president, for international personal accident business, and to Robert J. O'Connell, president of AIG's Domestic Life Insurance Companies, for domestic accident and health business.
 Commenting on Warren's appointment, AIG Chairman M.R. Greenberg said, "Andy Warren brings a wealth of domestic and international experience to this position as head of our growing worldwide accident and health business. He is a strong line executive, with marketing and international skills that will be extremely valuable in his new role. AIG has been an innovator in the worldwide personal accident business, and we expect Andy Warren will contribute importantly to maintaining and enhancing our position in this field."
