MailSport understands McGeady, who signed a fiveyear contract last summer, is happy with life under Mowbray and his priority is to bring the championship back to Parkhead.

Some Parkhead players would welcome the chance to move to the Premiership but that's not on McGeady's agenda at this stage.

McGeady was at his sparkling best in yesterday's 5-2 win over St Johnstone and Perth boss Derek McInnes admitted: "Aiden is a special player and knows what Tony Mowbray wants from him. "He played a big part in Celtic's win and I only wish he was Scottish."

Meanwhile, Mowbray has urged Celtic defender Gary Caldwell to put his poor start to the season behind him. A howler from Caldwell helped Saints score their opener with the mistake coming on the back of anown goal against Arsenal and a foolish red card while playing for Scotland. And Mowbray said: "I've had a word with Gary and told himnot be hisownworst enemy and feed the monster that's chasing him.

"But he's an outstanding individual and I've no concerns. Gary will be fine."
