Vincent, living in poverty in Washington, re-entered the public consciousness two weeks ago when Tampa, Fla., deputies arrested Singleton in the fatal stabbing stab

``I've sent her some of the money to take care of her immediate needs,'' Edwards said Thursday. ``This is a whole new dimension of security in her otherwise bleak existence.''

An Oklahoma medical company has offered to replace Vincent's worn-out artificial forearms. Edwards said that as Vincent's lawyer he cannot say how much her fund has collected.
