AICPA names top public affairs officer. (Highlights).


The Institute appointed James A. O'Malley as senior vice-president of public affairs Those public information, command information, and community relations activities directed toward both the external and internal publics with interest in the Department of Defense. Hunnicutt, who will retire October 31 after an 11-year career with the AICPA AICPA

. Reporting to President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Barry C. Melancon, O'Malley will head the Institute's Washington, D.C., office, directing activities in key areas such as congressional/political affairs, regulatory matters, public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  and communications, state society relations, academic and career development, minority initiatives and women and family issues.

Prior to joining the Institute, O'Malley headed the creative and advertising practice at the public relations firm Burson-Marsteller, where his responsibilities included oversight
