AICPA establishes Special Committee on State Regulation. (News & Trends).

An AICPA special committee is studying the implications the Sarbanes-Oxley Act may have on state legislation and regulation.

Headed by Kathy Eddy, former AICPA chair and a CPA from West Virginia, the Special Committee on State Regulation will assist the AICPA and state societies in monitoring proposals mirroring the new federal legislation that could impact entities that are not publicly traded, and the CPAs who serve them.

Former CalCPA President Hal Schultz is serving on the committee.
